These were found on Pinterest - Scandanavian
A glass jar recycled to use as a tealight lamp. The pine cones and fir can be can be replaced with flowers and would look great on a garden table, bathroom or anywhere really to brighten up a dull corner!  If using in the bathroom fill with sand and then trim with a seaside themed ribbon or tape from Country Bloomers - http://www.countrybloomers.co.uk/ ?

Again, these were found on pinterest - and so this is Christmas.....http://store.gianis.com/95-1113.html  These spindle snowman look great but I'm sure they can be adapted for santa's, reindeer or angels?  I think they could even be prettied up with daisies for a seasonal look.  These snowmen are made from stairs / chair spindles.

These are lovely and can be used any time of the year for any event - Doily lights.  Plain doilies attached to standard low voltage christmas lights.  These are heart doilies but I imagine you can trim ordinary doilies to what ever shape according to the event.   I have already purchased heart doilies and plan on using them for christmas - http://www.elizabethannedesigns.com/living/2010/12/21/handcrafted-holidays/
Welcome to my new blog, by Poppy - Crafts and Gifts.  This is only in the start up stage so please bear with me.
I will, in due course, be adding pictures of my hand made wood crafts which will  incorporate babies and children, newly weds and holidays including my absolute favourite Christmas!
This is a new venture for me, I left the civil service after a very long time of employment and I wanted to do something for me in addition to running around after children and trying to keep the family home in some sort of order.
For those of you who may recognise me I have a second blog and facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pincreations.
For now I will be adding pictures of the pins from Pin Creations and those that have inspired me to attempt to make my own wood creations and anything else I fall in love with.
With every picture I post that aren't my own I will note where the pictures have come from / ownership and maybe you will be inspired too!
I love Scandanavian, Nordic, German and New England influenced decorations which I think is very obvious.....  I hope you enjoy browsing as I have.

Take care, have a lovely day and hope to see back here again!

PS by Poppy is named after our family pet.  Poppy is the most gorgeous baby white / albino rabbit which we have had for about 3 weeks.  She was too gorgeous to resist -  very tiny, very fluffy and just adorable.

To be honest I cannot remember where I got this pic from, but certainly found it
on Google images.  It's just lovely and wish I could credit where it came from.

This lady is Jette Froelich and she is Danish.  I struggle to find a UK supplier but her goods can be found on http://www.froelichdesign.com/.  These are simply just gorgeous Christmas decorations and wish I could add them to my collection - hopefully I will do in time.

These two pics I found on Pinterest - Christmas.  Christmas has to be my favourite time of the year, I have always loved it, preferably when it's cold and crisp and not raining!  The hanging baskets certainly gave me some ideas for this coming Christmas.   I know it's early and we have only just started having decent weather as it's July, but with all the wet weather I have been looking for inspiration for handmade christmas decorations.

These are just lovely and found on http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/thisispretty/product/lantern-heart
